Size does matter

Many, many years ago, more than forty, while on an architectural tour of Italy with Lluís Clotet and our respective girlfriends in a 2CV and two tents, we visited the Venice Biennale. After going round numerous national pavilions full of boring and repetitive Informalist paintings, we entered the United States’ pavilion and were faced with an enormous tube of toothpaste that left as agape. I’m talking about the Biennale which the Americans seized with the overwhelming power of Pop Art, and the dentifrice was a work by Oldemburg, an artist who showed us that in art too, size does matter... and if you need further proof, take a look at this megalamp.
